Background
Georgic Cancer Specialists (GCS) is a network of 27 offices located throughout Metro Atlanta, North and Central Georgia. The organization is among the Top 10 private cancer practices in the US, and one the leaders in the nation in advanced cancer care and research. The practice focuses on delivering state-of-the-art, cost-effective, community based medical care for patients. GCS places a special emphasis on bringing new, emerging technologies and treatments to community offices throughout Georgia.

GCS has five research facilities and offers clinical trials to target lung, breast, colon, and prostate cancer as well as lymphoma. A close affiliation with the University of Alabama-Birmingham Comprehensive Cancer Center is paramount in bringing cutting-edge cancer care to GCS patients. GCS is the only private cancer practice to offer Phase 1 clinical trials, the most innovative cancer therapies, to its patients.
The GCS network has five Georgia Centers for Total Cancer Care (GCTCC) facilities located at the offices in Macon, Blairsville, Hawkinsville, Lake Oconee and Gwinnet. GCTCC facilities are comprehensive cancer care offices that conveniently offer many patient services under one roof. Medical oncology, hematology, radiation oncology, X-ray and CT imaging, dermatology and fully equipped pharmacies are services provided at each GCTCC facility.
