Dr. Kaiser is Dean of the Temple University School of Medicine, and an internationally renowned thoracic surgeon. He specializes in the treatment of malignant mesothelioma, lung cancer, and mediastinal tumors.
Dr. Kaiser received his medical degree from Tulane University. He completed a residency in general surgery at the University of California at Los Angeles, and another in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Toronto. He also completed a fellowship in surgical oncology at UCLA.
In addition to his surgical practice, Dr. Kaiser is an experienced hospital administrator who currently serves as CEO of the Temple University Health System and Senior Executive Vice President for the Health Sciences.
Dr. Kaiser has authored or co-authored more than 250 peer-reviewed journal articles and 14 books concerning the surgical treatment of mesothelioma and other forms of cancer. He is a member of professional societies such as the American Board of Surgery and the American Board of Thoracic Surgery, and is board certified in cardiothoracic surgery.
