Dr. Baciewicz is a Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Wayne State University and Chief of Thoracic Surgery at Sinai-Grace Hospital. His research focuses on atrial fibrillation, bronchoscopy, esophageal cancer, lung cancer, cardiac arrhythmia & pacema.
Dr. Baciewicz received his bachelor’s degree from Williams College, and his medical degree from the University of Virginia. He completed a residency in general surgery at Northwestern University, as well as a fellowship in cardiothoracic surgery at the University of Pennsylvania.
Dr. Baciewicz is considered a specialist in the treatment of mesothelioma. He is board certified in thoracic surgery and general surgery/critical care. He has authored or co-authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles and book chapters concerning cardiothoracic surgery and treatment of cancers such as mesothelioma.
