Dr. Miller serves as a Professor of Cardiothoracic Surgery at the Emory University School of Medicine, as well as Surgical Director of the Thoracic Oncology Program at the university’s Winship Cancer Institute. He specializes in the treatment of mesothelioma.
Dr. Miller received his medical degree from the University of Kentucky, before completing a residency in cardiovascular research at Georgetown University. He then completed a fellowship in thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at the Mayo Clinic, where he performed the institution’s first thoracoscopic surgery. He also co-directed the University of Louisville’s lung transplant program before joining the faculty at Emory in 2002.
He is certified by the American Board of Surgery as well as the American Board of Thoracic Surgery.
