Dr. Kanwal Raghav is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Gastrointestinal Medical Oncology at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, TX. His clinical and research focus centers on patients with Colorectal cancer, Hepatobiliary cancer and Rare GI tumors (such as cancers of unknown primary, peritoneal mesothelioma, appendix cancer and small bowel cancer. His current efforts are directed towards research based improvement in management of patients with these cancers centered around understanding tumor biology, therapeutic resistance, cancer biomarkers (HER2 in metastatic colorectal cancer) and development of novel therapeutics. He has presented his research at a number of oncology forums and authored a variety of publications in these areas.
