Franciscan St. Francis Cancer Center, as part of Franciscan St. Francis Health’s Indianapolis Medical Center, is the flagship cancer care facility. Cancer Treatments

Franciscan St. Francis Cancer Center is situated to offer the latest research developments and personalized care to provide improved cancer treatment options. Each patient is assigned a nurse navigator, who helps them with facilitating care, treatments, support, and education throughout the healing process. Each patient attends a Lung Clinic, where they meet with the entirety of their cancer care team at one time.

With regard to lung cancer, Franciscan St. Francis Cancer Center organizes teams of highly skilled staff to facilitate mesothelioma treatment in its Lung Cancer Center. Franciscan St. Francis Cancer Center realizes that the best way to beat cancer is early detection and offers greatly subsidized CT screening packages. After referral or diagnosis by a primary care physician, a team of pathologists, surgical and medical oncologists, thoracic surgeons, nurses and social workers will handle a case together. Franciscan St. Francis Cancer Center partners with the NCI national network of community cancer care hospitals to deliver world-class clinical trials and cutting-edge treatment techniques. Several specific, innovative treatments are being used in addition to the comprehensive cancer treatments listed below.
